These records come from #56/142/0/0/6705 sygn at the Polish Civil Archives in Przemyśl. It contains births, deaths and marriages in the Greek Catholic parish of Pielnia which includes Dudyńce, Jędruszkowce, Markowce and Podgaj.

The page number in the table below is also the number of the page on the archive's Web site. A double page number (e.g. 164/191) shows that the same record was copied by the priest twice and then scanned by the Archives. It refers to years 1843 – 1847.

If the person you are looking for was named Marianna, check for Maria and the maiden name, the same holds for Julia and Julianna, as the priest went back and forth with these given names for the same person. If a question mark appears that means I could not read what was written, I wasn’t sure what was written, could not verify it or the information was illegible in the record.

Polish diacriticals were used in order to spell the names correctly and you will need to use them in your search terms. However, if you are used to seeing a surname spelled with diacriticals but don’t find the name in this index, try searching without the diacritical. For example Kuźmiak might be listed as Kuzmiak, Sarańczaki may be found as Saranczak, Lenio may be found as Łenio, Leśniak may be found as Lesniak or Lisniak, Proć may be found as Proc and Kołodziej may be found as Kołodiy because that’s how they were written in the original record.

Women’s surnames were spelled using the nominative masculine endings; -ska is -ski and -cka is -cki. So if you are looking for a woman with the surname Burnatowska search on Burnatowski.

The S/W column indicates whether the person was single or widowed.

The bride's Relative column refers to either her former husband (presumably deceased) or one or both of her parents. The "+" symbol in this column indicates that the person is deceased.
