The following records were compiled by Debbie Greenlee. She is the owner and author of this page.
This pages listed below contain almost all of the graves (1,100 +) in the Bukowsko cemetery, transcribed from photos which I took in July 2010. There are several headstones which have worn so badly as to make them indistinguishable. Some headstones appear to be in worn Cyrillic and are not transliterated below. If you think your ancestor’s headstone was written in Cyrillic (Łemko) contact me for photos of those headstones.
There is a separate entry for each person listed on a headstone, so the same headstone will have as many entries below as there were legible names on the stone. The entries appear in alphabetical order, not in the order found in the cemetery.
In some cases a maiden name (noted with "nee") is listed. Brackets [ ] surround information which may not be visible in the photos but which can be clearly seen on the headstone at the cemetery, as in the case with infant graves. Infant graves are in a separate section of the cemetery. Parenthesis ( ) indicate additional information or clarification in order to help the researcher identify a specific headstone.
Many headstones have photographs of the deceased on them and some headstones have more information on them. Contact me for images of the headstones.
Thank you to the members of the Bukowsko Triangle email list for their help.
